Typhoon Halong Donation Drive
When Typhoon Halong struck Western Alaska, thousands of village residents had to evacuate their homes in the wake of widespread damage across coastal communities. These evacuees are in great need of our support.
Recently, CU1 branches in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Fairbanks collected essential supplies for disaster relief efforts. In collaboration with the Red Cross of Alaska, Lynden, Team Rubicon and GCI, these supply donations were delivered to organizations that are coordinating on-the-ground relief for evacuees.
Monetary donations, which help local agencies provide long-term assistance to families rebuilding their lives, are still needed and welcomed.
Donation Opportunity
In November, Credit Union 1 was proud to partner with the American Red Cross of Alaska to support a dollar-for-dollar match campaign. We matched every dollar donated through this special giving page and were able to provide a total donation of $10,000.
