Community

“People helping people” has been a guiding principle since our early beginnings in 1952. For more than 70 years, we have continued to be wholeheartedly invested in our state and the people of Alaska.

Get Involved

Being an Alaska financial institution means being a member of the community. That means investing in future generations, aiding our neighbors, and helping every member achieve their potential. Our branches are not only a place to manage finances; it’s where we take care of one another, make connections, and aspire together for the future of our home communities.

Supporting our communities

People are at the heart of everything we do at Credit Union 1, whether helping members achieve their financial goals or volunteering with a local non-profit. Our community outreach efforts are central to who we are as a local Alaskan credit union! We maintain active roles in our communities through fundraising, corporate giving and volunteerism, and we are grateful to every CU1 employee who gives time and energy to impact those around us positively.

Giving

Making a difference in our Alaskan communities through fundraising

Each year, Credit Union 1 raises funds for a unique selection of Leading Change partners hand-picked by Credit Union 1 employees who live and work in our Alaskan communities. When you use our mobile giving tool to donate, you can be sure that the money you give to fellow Alaskans in need will make a real, local impact.
