Apply for a Scholarship

Credit Union 1 is proud to help Alaskan students of all ages pursue higher education through the Bill Countryman Scholarship program.

Each year, Credit Union 1 is proud to offer the Bill Countryman Scholarship program to Alaskans who are pursuing higher education goals. This year, we'll be distributing a total of $39,000 in scholarships, and individual scholarships generally range between $500-$2,000. These funds will help recipients support their educational aspirations in a big way! In the words of our honored past board member Bill Countryman, "education and adventure are what keep you young."

The deadline to apply for this opportunity was March 31, 2026.

Scholarship winners will be announced in June.
