One for All Alaska Fund
At Credit Union 1, we believe that by supporting our communities, we can improve the big picture of the lives for all Alaskans. It’s something we call living “One for All!” To us, living “One for All” means unity – everyone working together toward a common goal, recognizing that it’s our duty to give back to the communities in which we operate. That’s why Credit Union 1 has chosen community change to be our credit union wide focus again for 2015! Each year, the One for All Alaska Fund is used to raise money for organizations – chosen by our employees – that support our focus. At the end of the year, the fund is zeroed out because ALL the money goes back into our communities. In 2014, over $41,000 was raised and invested back into our Alaskan communities to help facilitate community change – a new record.
Whether it’s by providing safe and fun spots for our youth to spend time and learn, providing respite for those battling serious illness, or ensuring our children don’t go hungry, each of these organizations are working toward positive community change, all over Alaska.
All money raised in each community will stay in that community:
Kids’ Kitchen provides free, hot and healthy meals to children in the Anchorage community, because no child should go hungry.
