Coming Soon: Card Management Tools in Online Banking!

We’re excited to share a major upgrade that will soon make managing your cards even easier and more convenient. Card management tools, previously only available in a separate app, are being fully integrated into the CU1 Mobile App and Online Access! 🎉

This means that soon, all members will be able to access key card control features directly from online banking. No extra downloads, no switching between apps — just a streamlined, all-in-one experience designed with convenience in mind.

What’s Changing?

Until now, card controls such as:

  • Turning cards on or off

  • Setting transaction or location-based controls

  • Creating real-time alerts

  • Managing travel notifications

...have been handled through a separate Card Control app. With this update, those features will now be available within the main mobile app and Online Access for all digital banking users, giving you faster access and a more cohesive experience.

Important Dates to Know

🗓 Sunday, October 19 at 11pm (Alaska Time)

The Card Control app will officially be retired. From this point, we’ll begin migrating features into CU1’s main app and Online Access.

⚠️ Temporary Downtime: October 19 – November 3

During this transition, card management tools and your card control settings will be briefly unavailable.

What You Can Do Now to Prepare

  • Verify your contact info is accurate, in case we need to verify a transaction.

    • Our fraud team will continue to monitor your accounts as usual. You can support efforts to protect your account by monitoring transaction activity as well!

  • Make note of your notification and alert settings so you can replicate in online banking (grab a screenshot!).

  • If your card is currently locked:

    • Is it locked because it's lost? Request a new card or stop by your local CU1 branch to have a new debit card printed on-the-spot!

    • Is it locked because of suspected fraud? Report it immediately at 907-339-9485.

    • If it's locked for budgeting purposes, make sure all parties are prepared for this need to personally monitor spending.
