Anchorage:

Currently we have an opening for multiple Anchorage Area Tellers, 1 full-time Teacher Assistant, 1 full-time E-Services Manager and 1 full-time Member Assistance Clerk.

Teller: Tellers are the foundation of CU1. In fact, many of our current top-level employees started out as tellers! At Credit Union 1, we pride ourselves in promoting from within – and our teller positions are the perfect place to begin. The qualifications for a Teller are at least 6 months of sales and customer service experience, with cash handling experience preferred. This can include restaurant and/or retail experience. The ability to work branch hours is required.

Currently we have an opening for multiple full-time Tellers in the Anchorage Area. Hours for the position are Monday-Sunday, 5 days a week; weekend work is required.  Employees can expect to work an 8 hour shift that could begin as early as 7:30am and end as late at 7:30pm.  The ability to work branch hours is required.

Teacher Assistant: At Credit Union 1, we love kids! If you feel the same way, our Little 1’s Learning Center may be the perfect place for you. Currently, we are hiring for one full-time Teacher Assistant in our Learning Center. The person in this position will be responsible for assisting our teaching staff with their daily routine, program implementation, and supervision and safety of children. This position reports directly to the Learning Center’s on-site manager.  

The qualifications for Teacher Assistant are high school graduate or equivalent.  Child care experience is preferred, and CPR/First Aid certification is required. Credit Union 1 is happy to purchase NAEYC basic membership for the person in this position, following six months of employment, if they do already have a membership.  If the employee already has a membership, their renewal will be paid by the credit union upon six months of employment.    

Currently we have an opening for 1 full-time Teacher Assistant at our Little One’s Early Learning Center; located at 1941 Abbott Rd. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday.  Employees can expect to work a rotating shift that could begin as early as 7:00am and end as late at 8:00pm.

E-Services Manager: At Credit Union 1, we’re proud to stay on the forefront of technology and electronic services for our members. That’s why we’ve created a new position for an e-Services Manager within our organization! If you have experience in researching and implementing new, innovative technological concepts, you might be the perfect person for this job. Credit Union 1’s e-Services Manager will report to our VP of Communication and Culture and be responsible for developing and overseeing the credit union’s “member-facing” electronic services.

Qualifications for e-Services Manager include a high school graduate or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred. This position requires a thorough understanding of emerging technologies and innovation related to the financial services industry.  Exceptional written and verbal skills are also required, along with a professional appearance and demeanor. Applicants must possess knowledge of the credit union’s mission and core values, products, services and culture. Applicants must also possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, be articulate, and be able to work independently. The person in this position will abide and comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering laws and regulations, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and marketing and advertising laws and regulations.

CU1’s e-Services Manager will be responsible for developing an e-Services roadmap and strategy for the implementation of new, innovative services at Credit Union 1. They will work closely and collaborate with all functions of the credit union in order to develop new member service functionality that will improve the overall experience that our members and consumers have when interacting with Credit Union 1. This includes both self-service processes and employee-assisted interactions. Our e-Services Manager will also remain current on innovation trends in financial services and other industries, in order to identify opportunities and potential disruptive challenges to the credit union’s business strategy. They will report on recent findings, e-Services channel usage statistics, and recommend new services to implement. Our e-Services Manager will also lead initial pilot testing for proposed services and make recommendations to retain or discontinue. Furthermore, they will manage vendor relationships for these services, with assistance from senior management for the daily implementation of services.

Currently, we have an opening for one full-time e-Services Manager at our Headquarters building, located at 1941 Abbott Road in Anchorage. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, from 9am-6pm.

Member Assistance Clerk: Assisting members with their financial health is a top priority at CU1. For members who are experiencing hard times in particular, our Member Assistance Department is here to help! Qualifications for Member Assistance Clerk are high school graduate or equivalent. One must have good clerical, communication and organizational skills. Also, a minimum of 6 months working in a financial institution and knowledge of court proceedings is preferred. Strong math skills and accounting experience are a big plus!

The person in this position is responsible for actively monitoring the department phone queue, preparing Small Claims packets for submission to the courts (to include processing of initial complaint, request for Default Judgment and recording of Judgment for Active Member Assistance Representatives), preparing execution packets (to include PFD execution, wage garnishment and bank sweeps), assisting the Liquidation Processor with DMV paperwork on repossessed autos and completing department scanning.

Currently, we have an opening for one full-time Member Assistance Clerk in our Member Assistance Department, which is located at 1941 Abbott Rd. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday; 9:00am – 6:00pm.

Soldotna:
