Fundraising & Corporate Contributions
Credit Union 1 is committed to improving the lives of our members by supporting the communities in which we live and work. We’ve embraced the true credit union spirit of “people helping people” since our inception and continue to be committed to this philosophy! Some of the ways we do this is through fundraising in our branches for non-profit organizations that fall within our funding focus and by making direct corporate contributions.
In addition to fundraising through the One for All Alaska Fund towards positive community change, each year CU1 hosts point-of-sale fundraisers for various non-profits that provide services in all seven of our branch communities – Anchorage, Eagle River, Soldotna, Nome, Fairbanks, Kodiak, and Ketchikan. During 2015, we’ll be fundraising for the following organizations:
The application period for CU1 to hold a monthly fundraiser during 2015 is now closed. The application period for CU1 to hold a monthly fundraiser during 2016 will open in the fall of 2015 and will close December 1, 2015.
During 2014, CU1 invested over $184,000 back into our communities! All organizations asking CU1 for support should read our Corporate Giving Guidelines and Proposal Requirements to see if their project fits within our focus areas.
CU1 also has a limited number of promotional items (i.e. pens, key chains, etc.) we can provide to non-profit organizations for events and meetings. Just click on the button below and submit to email@example.com.
If you have more questions, or if you would like to discuss your project in more detail and find out if it’s something CU1 could support, feel free to contact Aaron Hopkinson, Community Engagement Specialist, at (907) 339-8288 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
