Credit Union 1 offers a Little 1's Learning Center to help employees balance the demands of work and family life. The Learning Center is managed by Providence Health & Services Alaska and includes the following benefits:
The Creative Curriculum® emphasizes the development of social competence, learning through play, fostering independence, self-confidence and self-esteem. Its underlying philosophy draws from widely accepted research and theories of child development and learning.
All toddlers have a primary caregiver to watch over them as they grow. Activities at this age center around their growing independence and emphasize eating, toileting, language and movement. As toddlers become more independent, they are encouraged to explore and interact with others in an environment that is safe, challenging and fun.
The Preschool Program provides opportunities for children to explore and learn in an enriching environment. Children are encouraged to develop their creativity as well as their experience in science, art, music, reading, drama, cooking and blocks. These activities help develop their emotional and social skills and enhance the learning and physical growth of children.
The Credit Union 1 Little 1's Learning Center offers weekend care and a before and after school age program for children. Parents are responsible for transporting their children to and from school. In addition to the many interest centers, the children are invited to use our computer learning stations. Computer technology, an exciting tool for learning, promotes creativity, original thinking, literacy, mathematics, science and social studies.
